Project description
This capacity building project for forestry professionals in Vietnam aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the local forestry sector through the introduction of sustainable forest management. The Project was conducted for a client, with co-funding by Sequa gGmbH through the develoPPP program. Main goals were the establishment of a forest management training curriculum based on international standards (like FSC) in a training center in Quang Tri province and teaching theoretical and practical classes on sustainable forest management practices. A bilingual Training-of-Trainers Curriculum – in English and Vietnamese – was developed for fieldworkers and forest management teams on sustainable forest management according to the FSC Standard (Forest Stewardship Council).
