We happily joined a meeting with Pieter Elbers, CEO of Dutch airline KLM, and Pedro Heilbronn, CEO of Copa Airlines, on 22 March at the Dutch embassy in Panama City to celebrate both the 10-years anniversary of KLM-Copa partnership and 10 years anniversary of KLM’s climate action program “CO2ZERO”. Together with our regional director German Rodriguez, they planted a tree to highlight the 10-years of KLM-Copa cooperation and their joint commitment to sustainability.
ForestFinest Consulting and CO2OL have been working together with KLM on their CO2ZERO program since October 2017. The airline supports the reforestation project CO2OL Tropical Mix in Panama and offers its passengers to offset the CO2 emissions of their air travel. By investing in reforestation and sustainable forest management, KLM passengers not only fly carbon neutral. They also make a direct contribution to nature conservation and economic development of rural areas in Panama.
